There are no fabric items or slippers in our toilet.
I keep a supply of feminine hygiene products in the brown box above.
The white box underneath the toilet paper holds an emergency toilet kit with enough supplies for 50 uses.
I clean the toilet about once a month.
I scrub the toilet bowl with an old kitchen sponge, then toss the sponge away.
Whenever I notice any dirt, I simply wipe the bowl with toilet paper and flush it down the toilet.
Even with just this, the toilet stays pretty clean.
I don’t use any cleaning products.
For the floor, I use the same Quickle Wiper that I’ve already used to clean the rest of the house, give the floor a quick wipe to pick up the dust, and then throw the sheet away.
Every now and then, I wipe the floor with alcohol or a damp cloth.
Thanks to my husband, who also sits down and uses the toilet carefully, it stays sparkling clean.
We always close the lid before flushing.
I feel like how dirty a toilet gets depends quite a bit on how men use it.

A Little Extra Tip
Here’s one little trick I use when I need to do number two.
Beforehand, I flush a little water, then fold a few sheets of toilet paper about three times and place them on the water.
That way, nothing splashes up, and when you flush, everything—including the toilet paper—slides away smoothly, helping prevent the bowl from getting dirty.
I’ve named this the “Splash Mountain Method.” 😂
The trick is to give yourself a little extra time and not rush to the toilet at the last minute.
