The other day, I moved from my temporary home back to my own apartment, where the renovation work had finally been completed.
I started packing little by little the afternoon before the move.
Since it was a short-distance move, I used Nippon Express’s same-day moving service.
It was really convenient!
The movers picked up my belongings in the morning, and everything was unloaded at my new place just an hour later.
They worked quickly and carefully, which was a huge help.
Perhaps because I didn’t have that much stuff, the movers seemed to be smiling more than usual, too. 😊
Luckily, it was also the day for cardboard box collection, so I unpacked everything right away and got rid of the boxes.
Before I knew it, the whole move was over.
Thank you, temporary home!
I’m home again!
Having fewer possessions really does make moving so much easier.
For someone with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, being able to move quickly and easily whenever necessary can also provide a great sense of security.
That’s because if renovation work suddenly starts in my home or in a nearby building, I can relocate much more easily.
Having fewer belongings also reduces the physical burden on the moving crew.
I know it’s their job, but moving heavy things all day must be hard…
I’m also happy that having fewer belongings can help keep moving costs down. 😊
Less time, less money, and less physical effort.
And when all of those burdens become lighter, your mobility—and even your mind—can feel lighter, too.
I don’t think I’ll ever give up my minimalist lifestyle! ♪
